How the money moves
The tip connects to the server’s money app. Not the house POS.
Guest picks how they pay. TipCash matches that tap to what Alex has linked. Venmo and Zelle go direct. Card and Apple Pay go through Stripe and take a fee.
1. GuestTaps $12 and a method
2. TipCash matchLooks up Alex’s linked apps
3. Money appVenmo, Zelle, or Stripe bank
No fee
Venmo → Venmo
Guest Venmo pays Alex’s handle. TipCash only opens the pay request. Alex gets the full $12.
Example$12.00 lands
TipCash / Stripe cut$0
Same idea for Zelle: guest’s bank app pays Alex’s Zelle name. No TipCash cut.
Fee on the tip
Card / Apple Pay → Stripe
Cards cannot drop into Venmo or Zelle. Stripe charges the tip, keeps ~2.9% + $0.30, then pays Alex’s bank.
$12 card tipFee $0.65
Alex nets$11.35
The house check never sees this fee. It only comes out of the digital tip.
Owner rule
